Kombi.Love is a social experiment around the VW Kombi scene.  This idea was born out of the people I have met along the way from my early days of my 1970’s VW Beetle to finally owning a VW Kombi. There is an image they people think they are buying into by owning one of these vehicles, that of been a hippy with a surf board on top driving for beach to beach taking in the sun and the surf.  The Kombi Life is far from that and I have come to realise that it is a passion that is not only about the Kombis but also the community at a personal level of fellow Kombi owners. Okay first things first, the name….Kombi.  It has taken me a while to adjust to this name, coming from the UK you have a Split or a Bay, be that early of late.  We also know them as T2 or T2b. Kombi is short for (Kombinationskraftwagen, combined-use vehicle) but been a Brit it has always been a T2 for me. So from here in the T2 Bus will be formally referred to as Kombi.

The Van (whoops Kombi) resides in New Zealand so lets meet the people and businesses in this community as we restore this Kombi.
